Welcome to my online portfolio. If you'd like my resume in Microsoft Word format please follow the following link to - my resume. You can also find me on LinkedIn.
My mission in life and business is to find good people and help them become known. On this page you will find just a sampling of the creative work I've done in the past few years as a copywriter, journalist, client consultant, and PR representative.
I am available for immediate employment. Well, maybe not "immediate." You do have to contact me (512)-787-O3O8 or email@example.com). And then there's the drive to where you are for an interview. Unless, of course, I've impressed you so much on paper and via this page that you'd like to hire me sight unseen. I've always been a "looks aren't as important as the talent" guy. If looks are important to you... well.. I'm also a cover model.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy these samples of some of the work I've done in the past.
|Writing - 52 Weeks of DIY Music Advice
In 2009 I decided to give myself a mission to review 52 Austin CDs in 52 Weeks. When I completed that project, I decided to write 52 Weeks of DIY Music Advice. Click the image to visit the 52 columns.
Equipment Locator Service
I served as the Marketing Manager for Equipment Locator Service in early 2010. One of my tasks was to write promotional e-marketing messages.

|Writing - Ray Wylie Hubbard Feature
In December 2009 I was blessed to sit down with Ray Wylie Hubbard to discuss his career thus far and the release of his 2010 album A. Enlightenment B. Endarkenment (Hint There Is No C). This resulted in a January 2010 cover story for INsite Magazine. Click the photo to read the feature.
|Project Management - Success Stories
While employed as a Communications Specialist for the National Center for the Dissemination of Diability Research I served as the project manager on a series from 2002-2005 Called Success Stories.
The object of this effort was to let people know about a number of the projects the grantees of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research had done to make a difference in the world of people with disabilities. I contacted all of the grantees, culled stories, edited and put together, and worked with designers to make this project a reality.

|Radio (write/voice) - Weiner Dog Races
For the 2008 Buda Lions Club Weiner Dog Races, I wrote this commercial and voiced it as well.
The theme of the year was "Nacho Weiner," a play off of the Jack Black movie Nacho Libre. Yes, that's me in the photo.
|Print - Kyle United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch
In 2007 The Kyle United Methodist Church held a pumpkin patch in Kyle, Texas. As the communications chair of my church, I conceptualized, created, took photos, and placed this ad. It ran in the Val-Pak direct mail pack. Half of the ad was to promote the pumpkin patch, the other half was the beginning of my hoped series "See All The People."
It was a hit and the patch went very well.
|Blog - Kyle, Texas Daily Photo
In 2006 I created Kyle, Texas Daily Photo where I attempt to post a photo a day from Kyle, Texas. Initially it was to see if I could find 365 different unique things in my town, but it's blossomed into something pretty interesting.
It also helps keep me honing my photography craft on something other than live music and product shots.
|Writing - Web Site Accessibility 101
While a Communications Specialist for the National Center for the Dissemination of Diability Research I penned some articles, presented at conferences, and designed products.
Click on the logo to access one of the articles I wrote on Website Accessibility. It was published by the World Institute on Disability in 2004.
|Writing - Great Big Signs Feature
A freelance piece I wrote on Lynn Wilkerson, Kyle resident and owner of Great Big Signs which was published on 9/6/07 by the Austin American-Statesman.
